Diversified Manager Connects The Hub Family Resource Centre to the DTL Family
Olivia Best is our Manager of People Development and Training, and has been a volunteer with The Hub since 2022. The Hub Family Resource Centre opened its’ doors to Fort McMurray in 2003. Their mission has been to strengthen capacities and encourage the best possible development of children and families in Wood Buffalo.
The Hub offers early learning, social supports, and caregiver education programs in their centre and throughout the Wood Buffalo region through their Hub on Wheels program. All programs are free, voluntary, and family-centred and allow children to maintain healthy relationships with both caregivers in a safe, conflict-free environment.
Olivia joined The Hub as one of the Board Directors in September 2022. She’s always been passionate about volunteering and found The Hub to be a great example of community engagement and collaboration. Working with this organization allows her to see the impact we can have on families and children within our region. It also gives a sense of accomplishment and joy to know that we can make a positive impact in their lives and the community.
When Olivia joined the board, she was eager to bring her connections to our organization. She viewed the opportunity as one that would benefit both our business and the community. Olivia is thankful to have provided this connection and hopes to continue to grow the relationship between both entities.
DTL continues to support numerous community involvement opportunities and provide community services for our region. It is one of the main reasons why she enjoys working at Diversified Transportation.
