On December 20^th, Diversified partnered with Father Mercredi High School, in delivering gifts for Santa’s Anonymous. Network Planner Jama Abdi was in the driver’s seat of our executive shuttle while Director of Operations, Dean Chappelle, delivered the toys to the doorstep of some very deserving children in our community.

On December 7^th, Diversified took part in the RMWB’s annual Santa Claus Parade. It was great to be a part of the festivities and the merriment of the season, thank you to the volunteers who made this happen!

On Friday December 6, Diversified teamed up with F

On Friday December 6, Diversified teamed up with Father Mercredi High School and the Fort McMurray Oil Barons for the annual Santa’s Anonymous Teddy Bear Toss.
Father Mercredi High School students sold teddy bears at the main entrance of Centerfire Place to raise money for Santa's Anonymous, while Diversified’s Director of Operations Dean Chappelle helped transport the haul of stuffed animals from the arena to the Santa’s Anonymous hub.
As you can see, many bears were collected, although fans had to wait patiently until the 3rd period to throw them out when the Oil Barons scored what turned out to be their only goal of the game.

On December 4th, the Canadian Mental Health Associ

On December 4th, the Canadian Mental Health Association was on hand to deliver a session around several issues concerning our employees’ mental health. One of the subjects touched on was Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD.) Seasonal affective disorder is a type of depression that's related to changes in seasons — it often begins in the fall and continue into the winter months, zapping your energy and making you feel moody.
These symptoms often resolve during the spring and summer months but it’s important to note not to brush this off as simply the ‘winter blues’ and try to tough it out on your own. Through this session Diversified employees were given some tools to help work through the tough winter months.

He went above and beyond to make sure we were always safe, comfortable and having a great time and that we were everywhere we needed to be right on schedule. He even gave the team a pregame pep talk which got the girls pumped up and they got their first win of the tournament after it. I just want to say we will definitely be requesting him for all over our future bus trips!”

Recently, we were able to help in organizing an up

Recently, we were able to help in organizing an upcoming trip to Edmonton for the Dimsdale & Albright Quilters. Diversified, along with Grande Prairie Councillor, Steve Zimmerman, Strathcona Resources and Aquaterra were able to make their wish of attending the Edmonton Quilt Show this coming June a reality.
This amazing group of quilters have been instrumental in creating comforting quilts for the Cariboo Child and Youth Centre in Grande Prairie and the staff and residents of a local facility for the mentally challenged, to get them through their toughest times.
Thank you so very much for your heartfelt dedication to such an incredible and worthwhile cause and we hope you enjoy your trip!

Today, Diversified Transportation was recognized by the Canadian Mental Health Association Wood Buffalo Region as a Mental Health Champion.
A huge thank you to Sherry McDonald, our HCM advisor who was not only on hand to receive this award but who spearheaded this initiative within our workplace and became a true ambassador.

Our crew up in Fort McMurray decided to surprise Shelly Malley our Team Lead, Operations Assistants by having half of the team dress up as her and the other half as Trump (there’s a bit of a back story there).
