DTL had the opportunity today to celebrate Jama Abdi and Furqan Younis, who are both celebrating birthdays and work anniversaries in October. Referred to by Operations Assistant Team Lead, Shelly Malley, as “the boys” (so not a reference to the Amazon Prime series!), Jama and Furqan form our planning team.
They build the work in our Hastus scheduling system, and then the work is scheduled by our scheduling team of Tannis, Rachel and Mike. Building the work involves taking client requests and building the routes, stops and associated timings so that we can execute the work. The client requests are not always clear, so this often involves a lot of creative thinking and reasoning to turn the requests into action.
