On December 4th, the Canadian Mental Health Association was on hand to deliver a session around several issues concerning our employees’ mental health. One of the subjects touched on was Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD.) Seasonal affective disorder is a type of depression that’s related to changes in seasons — it often begins in the fall and continue into the winter months, zapping your energy and making you feel moody.
These symptoms often resolve during the spring and summer months but it’s important to note not to brush this off as simply the ‘winter blues’ and try to tough it out on your own. Through this session Diversified employees were given some tools to help work through the tough winter months.
